New Poll Shows Netanyahu's Likud Party Losing Support

A new poll published by the newspaper Maariv indicates a continued decline in support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party, which has fallen to 18 Knesset seats. The overall coalition bloc's strength remains largely unchanged, holding 50 seats. The "Amcha Yisrael" party has re-entered the political landscape, securing 4 seats, while "Religious Zionism and Identity" has increased its representation to 6 seats. In the opposition, the "United Reservists List" and the "Economic Party" have crossed the electoral threshold, collectively gaining 4 seats. Conversely, "Yashar!" has lost two seats and "Democrats" one. The Zionist opposition parties combined hold 54 seats, with Arab parties maintaining 12 seats. If elections were held today, the seat distribution would be: Yashar! (23), Likud (18), "Together" (13), Democrats (9), Yisrael Beiteinu (9), Otzma Yehudit (8), United Torah Judaism (7), Shas (7), United Arab List (7), Religious Zionism and Identity (6), Ra'am (5), Amcha Yisrael (4), Reservists (4), and Economy (4). The poll also revealed shifts in preferred prime ministerial candidates, with Gadi Eisenkot leading Netanyahu 48% to 40%. Netanyahu also trails Naftali Bennett 41% to 44%, but leads Avigdor Lieberman 42% to 38%. Previously, an incident involving Gadi Eisenkot occurred at a Likud party event attended by Netanyahu.
