New Poll Shows Netanyahu Bloc Leading for First Time in Months
A new poll released by Channel 13 News indicates a significant shift in Israeli public opinion, with the bloc supporting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu now leading for the first time in a considerable period. The survey projects that the Netanyahu bloc would secure 54 seats in the Knesset, surpassing the 53 seats held by the opposition bloc.
Within the opposition, Benny Gantz's National Unity party is projected to be the largest single party, garnering 22 mandates. This represents a notable increase for Gantz, who has seen a surge in support. The Likud party, led by Netanyahu, is polling at 18 seats.
Other parties show mixed results. Avigdor Lieberman's Yisrael Beiteinu is projected to win 6 seats. However, former ministers Yoav Gallant and Yoaz Hendel, along with Ze'ev Elkin and Derech Eretz party leader Orna Barbivai, are shown to be below the electoral threshold, meaning they would not enter the Knesset if elections were held today.
