New Poll Shows Netanyahu's Bloc Shrinking Ahead of Elections

A recent poll conducted by Zman Yisrael indicates a potential shift in the Israeli political landscape, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's bloc potentially reduced to 51 seats in the Knesset. The survey suggests that Ofer Winter's "People of Israel" party will not cross the electoral threshold. The "Yashar" party emerges as the largest single party with 24 seats, followed by "Likud" with 22 seats and "Be Yahad" with 14. This represents a slight increase for "Yashar" and "Likud" compared to the previous week when both held 22 seats.

In addition to "People of Israel," Benny Gantz's "Blue and White" party and Yoaz Hendel's reservists' party also failed to secure enough support to pass the electoral threshold, according to the poll. Consequently, the "Netanyahu bloc" is projected to win only 51 seats, while the "change bloc" is estimated to gain 55 seats. Both figures fall short of the 61 seats required to form a government.

Among predominantly Arab parties, the "Joint List" is expected to secure 8 seats, and the "Ra'am" party 6 seats. The poll was conducted by Yossi Tatika of Tatika Research & Media in conjunction with the Adgenda panel, surveying 500 participants with a margin of error of 4.4 percentage points.

Separately, a poll by NEXT DATA revealed that 58% of Israelis believe a different politician should become prime minister after the next elections, with only 32% supporting Netanyahu's continued tenure.
