Israeli Arab Teen Arrested for Alleged Terror Plot Inspired by Hamas Attacks
Israeli security forces have arrested a 19-year-old resident of Kafr Qasim on suspicion of planning a terror attack. The suspect, Mustafa Issa, was reportedly influenced by the "Guardian of the Walls" events of May 2021 and Hamas's October 7th massacre.
During his interrogation, Issa revealed he had searched for combat guides and instructions on how to build explosive devices. He also attempted to construct bombs himself using various materials and shared these efforts with others. Authorities seized training equipment and airsoft weapons from him upon his arrest.
Issa had downloaded and saved guides for creating explosives on his mobile phone. The Shin Bet and Israel Police stated they view any involvement of Israeli citizens in activities endangering national security very seriously and will continue to act to thwart threats and prosecute those involved.
A statement of charges has been filed against Issa in the Central District Court, paving the way for an indictment.
