Suspected Terror Plot Foiled in Central Israel, Teenager Arrested

Security forces in Israel have arrested a 19-year-old man from Kafr Qasim on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack. Mustafa Issa was apprehended in recent weeks as part of a joint operation by the Shin Bet security agency and the Israel Police. During his arrest, investigators seized training equipment and an airsoft weapon.

According to the investigation, Issa was influenced by the "Guardian of the Walls" operation and the Hamas attacks of October 7th. Evidence suggests his involvement progressed beyond mere sympathy, with him actively preparing to carry out an attack. He reportedly used his mobile phone to search for combat guides and downloaded instructions on how to build explosive devices.

Investigators also revealed that Issa attempted to construct explosives using various materials and shared his efforts with others. The seized items, including training gear and the airsoft gun, were found during his arrest. Following interrogations by the Shin Bet and the Sharon District police, a statement of charges has been filed, indicating an indictment is forthcoming.
