Israeli Arab Man Arrested for Alleged Terror Plot Inspired by Hamas Attacks
Israeli security forces have arrested a 19-year-old resident of Kafr Qasim on suspicion of planning a terror attack. The suspect, identified as Mustafa Issa, was reportedly influenced by the May 2021 "Guardian of the Walls" events and Hamas's October 7th attacks.
During his investigation, Issa allegedly searched for combat guides and instructions on how to build explosive devices. He also reportedly attempted to construct bombs himself using various materials and shared his efforts with others. Authorities seized training equipment and airsoft weapons from him upon his arrest.
Following the investigation, a statement of charges was filed against Issa at the Central District Court, indicating that an indictment is forthcoming. The Shin Bet and Israel Police stated they view any involvement of Israeli citizens in activities endangering national security very seriously and will continue to act to thwart threats and prosecute those involved.
