Israeli Authorities Charge Two Young Men for Planning ISIS-Inspired Attacks on Security Forces
The Haifa District Prosecutor's Office is set to file indictments and request detention until the end of proceedings against a 16-year-old from the Galilee and Ibrahim Kaabiya, 19, from Haifa, for planning attacks against Israeli security forces. The police and Shin Bet revealed on Friday that investigations showed both suspects had pledged allegiance to the terrorist organization ISIS. The minor, arrested earlier this month, had viewed and recorded online materials detailing instructions for making explosive belts and intended to carry out an attack targeting Jewish police officers and soldiers at the Temple Mount. Following further investigation, Kaabiya was also arrested; interrogations revealed he planned to execute an attack on an IDF base in northern Israel.
