Israeli Authorities Charge Two for ISIS Loyalty and Terror Plots Against Security Forces

Israeli security agencies have charged two Arab Israelis, a 16-year-old minor and a 19-year-old man from Haifa, for pledging allegiance to ISIS and planning attacks against Israeli security forces. The minor, from the Galilee region, was arrested on August 4 during a joint operation by the Shin Bet and the Northern District police. Investigations revealed he had sworn loyalty to the Islamic State and was researching bomb-making instructions online, intending to target police officers and soldiers at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

Following his arrest, Ibrahim Kaabiya, the 19-year-old from Haifa, was also detained. He is suspected of the same allegiance and was found to have planned an attack on an IDF base in northern Israel. The Haifa District Prosecutor's Office is expected to file indictments against both suspects in the Haifa District Court, along with requests to keep them in custody until the end of legal proceedings.

The Shin Bet and police emphasized the seriousness of Israeli citizens engaging in activities that threaten national security and stated their commitment to using all available means to prosecute those involved in such plots.
