Two Northern Israeli Residents Charged with ISIS Allegiance and Terror Plotting at Temple Mount and IDF Base
Israeli authorities have filed indictments against two northern residents, a 16-year-old boy and 19-year-old Ibrahim Kaabiya, for swearing allegiance to ISIS and planning attacks against security forces at the Temple Mount and an IDF base in northern Israel. The teenager was arrested earlier this month, and investigations by the police and Shin Bet revealed that beyond pledging loyalty to the terrorist organization, he had been researching online instructions for making explosive belts and intended to carry out an attack targeting police and soldiers at the Temple Mount. Several days later, Ibrahim Kaabiya was also detained on suspicion of swearing allegiance to ISIS and planning an attack at an IDF base in the north.
