Two East Jerusalem Residents Arrested for Imminent Terror Attack Plot

Two residents of the Shuafat refugee camp in East Jerusalem were arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of planning an imminent terror attack in Jerusalem. The arrests took place at their homes during a coordinated operation involving Border Police undercover units from Jerusalem, Border Police fighters from the Jerusalem periphery, and the Shin Bet security service, with aerial support from the Israeli Police and under the command of the regional command.

The undercover unit initially entered Shuafat covertly before switching to overt operations. Simultaneously, forces raided two buildings, located the suspects in their homes, and arrested them without any unusual incidents. Following the operation, all forces withdrew from the area peacefully. The two detainees were transferred to the Shin Bet for further interrogation.
