Israeli Forces Arrest Two Suspects Planning Imminent Attack in Jerusalem

Israeli security forces arrested two wanted suspects from the Shuafat refugee camp near Jerusalem on Tuesday, who were allegedly planning an imminent terror attack in the city. The operation was a joint effort by Border Police special forces from Jerusalem and other police units, conducted under the guidance of the Shin Bet security service. The forces initially entered the camp covertly before switching to an overt operation, simultaneously raiding two buildings where the suspects were located and detained without any unusual incidents or injuries.

The two detainees, both residents of Shuafat, were transferred to the Shin Bet for further interrogation. This arrest follows a recent raid last month in the same refugee camp, where Jerusalem police and Border Police seized three M-16 rifles, ammunition belts, dozens of bullets, and other weapons and tactical equipment. The ongoing security operations highlight continued efforts to prevent terror attacks in Jerusalem and maintain public safety.
