Israeli Police Arrest Teen for Attacking Officers During Weapons Cache Raid in West Bank

Israeli police arrested a 16-year-old boy from the West Bank settlement of Kochav HaShachar overnight on suspicion of attacking officers during a raid that uncovered a weapons cache in the Binyamin area. The boy's father was also detained on suspicion of aiding his son's escape from the police. The incident occurred on Sunday near the outpost "Kol Dodi" close to Kochav HaShachar, where police engineers were working to dismantle the weapons cache.

Dozens of settlers arrived at the scene and disrupted the police operation. The teen is suspected of physically assaulting officers and causing injuries, while the group of settlers also attacked the police. Police attempted to arrest the teen on Sunday, but about 50 rioters prevented the arrest, allowing him to flee. The settlers dispersed afterward. Following the disturbance, police managed to secure the seized weapons.
