Plot to Bomb Foiled; Suspect Influenced by Oct. 7 Attacks

The Shin Bet and Israel Police have arrested a 19-year-old resident of Kafr Qasim for allegedly planning a terrorist attack inspired by Hamas and the October 7th massacre. During his arrest, the suspect was found with training equipment and airsoft weapons. Investigations revealed that he had searched his mobile phone for bomb-making guides and downloaded instructions on creating explosive devices.

Authorities suspect the individual attempted to manufacture explosives using various materials and involved others in these efforts. The specific target, location, or stage of preparation for the planned attack were not disclosed by the authorities at this time. The suspect's alleged radicalization was reportedly influenced by the events of October 7th.

Following his interrogation by the Shin Bet and the Sharon District Police, a statement of charges was filed in the Central District Court, indicating an indictment is forthcoming.
