Shin Bet and Police Foil Mass Terror Attack Planned by Teen
The Shin Bet security agency and Israel Police announced Tuesday the arrest of a 19-year-old resident of Kafr Qasim, Mustafa Issa, who was allegedly in the advanced stages of planning a mass casualty terror attack. Issa was apprehended several weeks ago and has been under investigation since.
According to the investigation, Issa was influenced by the "Guardian of the Walls" operation and the Hamas massacre on October 7th. During his arrest, training equipment and airsoft weapons were found in his possession. He reportedly searched his mobile phone for combat guides and downloaded instructions for creating explosive devices.
Further investigation revealed that Issa attempted to construct explosive devices using various materials and shared his plans with others. Following his interrogation by the Shin Bet and the Sharon District Police, a statement of charges was filed at the Central District Court, paving the way for an indictment.
The Shin Bet and Israel Police emphasized their commitment to preventing any involvement of Israeli citizens in activities that endanger national security and vowed to prosecute all those involved to the fullest extent of the law.
