Israeli Arab Arrested for Planning Attack, Attempting Bomb Manufacture
Israeli security forces have arrested a 19-year-old Israeli Arab citizen from Kafr Qasim on suspicion of planning a terrorist attack and attempting to manufacture explosive devices. The Shin Bet and the Central District's special patrol unit (Yamar Sharon) apprehended Mustafa Issa in recent weeks.
During his interrogation, Issa reportedly stated he was influenced by the "Guardian of the Walls" events and the October 7th Hamas attacks. Investigators found that Issa had searched his mobile phone for combat guides and downloaded instructions on how to build bombs. He allegedly attempted to construct explosive devices using various materials and involved others in his plans.
When arrested, Issa was found with extensive training equipment and an airsoft weapon. Following the investigation by the Shin Bet and police, a statement of prosecution has been filed with the Central District Court, indicating an indictment is forthcoming.
Both the Shin Bet and the police emphasized their zero-tolerance policy towards any Israeli citizen involved in activities threatening national security, vowing to continue thwarting threats and prosecuting those involved.
