Israeli Security Forces Arrest Teenager for Alleged Terror Attack Plot
Israeli police and the Shin Bet security agency announced the arrest of 19-year-old Mustafa Issa from Kafr Qasim, suspected of planning a terrorist attack. Investigations revealed that the suspect was influenced by the "Operation Guardian of the Walls" events and the October 7th Hamas attacks. He was reportedly in the planning stages of carrying out an attack.
During his arrest, training equipment and "airsoft" weapons were found. Authorities stated that Issa had searched his mobile phone for combat instructions and downloaded related files, including information on manufacturing explosive devices. He also allegedly experimented with creating explosives and involved others in these activities.
Following his interrogation by the Shin Bet and the Central District's YAMAR unit, a statement of claim was filed against Issa at the Central District Court, paving the way for formal charges.
The Shin Bet and Israel Police emphasized the seriousness with which they view any involvement of Israeli citizens in activities that endanger state security. They pledged to continue using all available means to thwart threats and ensure strict legal action against all involved.
