Israeli Military Destroys Hezbollah Strategic Facility in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli military announced on Thursday the completion of the destruction of a strategic underground infrastructure in the Al-Taher heights area of southern Lebanon. The facility, extending over two kilometers, was reportedly a key command center for Hezbollah's "Badr" unit, housing command and control rooms, weapons storage, and living quarters.

During the operation, Israeli forces uncovered a significant arsenal including dozens of rockets, Iranian-made drones, anti-tank missiles, and hundreds of mines and explosives. The military stated that the complex took approximately two decades to build, with planning and funding provided by Iran.

The operation took place amid heightened Israeli alert and anticipation of potential retaliation, particularly from Iran. Reports indicated that Tehran had issued strong warnings, vowing a "broad and significant counter-response" to any comprehensive Israeli operation targeting the Al-Taher facilities.

Simultaneously, residents in the Upper Galilee region were alerted to loud explosions resulting from controlled demolitions carried out by the Israeli military. The regional council confirmed the sounds were heard across various areas, including the Upper Galilee, Ramim mountain range, Hula Valley, and Golan, assuring the public that internal front directives remained unchanged.

The Israeli military reiterated its commitment to continuing operations in southern Lebanon's security zone to neutralize threats, while also affirming its adherence to the ceasefire agreement.
