Wizz Air Significantly Expands Flights From Israel

Hungarian budget airline Wizz Air has announced a major expansion of its operations to and from Israel. The company is adding five new routes and increasing the weekly frequency on 11 existing routes, resulting in a total of 46 additional flights per week.

New routes include flights to Catania, Sicily, with four weekly services; London Gatwick, with five weekly services; Venice, with three weekly services; Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with two weekly services; and Iasi, Romania, with two weekly services.

In addition to the new routes, Wizz Air is increasing frequencies on several popular destinations. Flights to Budapest will rise from 14 to 21 per week, Rome from 12 to 14, Milan from 7 to 14, and Bucharest from 11 to 14.

Further frequency increases include Bratislava, from 5 to 7 flights weekly; Naples, from 5 to 7; Sofia, from 6 to 7; Varna, from 2 to 3; Athens, from 5 to 7; Vilnius, from 2 to 4; and Warsaw, from 4 to 5. The expansion includes 30 additional weekly flights across 11 existing routes and 16 weekly flights on the five newly resumed routes.
