Wizz Air Expands Flights from Israel with Five New Routes

Low-cost carrier Wizz Air is significantly increasing its flight operations from Israel, announcing the resumption of five routes and an increase in flight frequency on eleven additional destinations. The airline had previously delayed its return to Israel following the recent attack on Iran, opting to resume services after the summer holidays.

Among the newly reinstated routes are flights to London Gatwick, Venice, Catania, Cluj, and Iasi. Specific frequencies for these routes include four weekly flights to Catania, five to London Gatwick, three to Venice, and two each to Cluj and Iasi.

In parallel, Wizz Air is boosting the number of flights on existing routes. Services to Budapest will increase from 14 to 21 flights per week, Rome from 12 to 14, and Milan from 7 to 14 weekly flights. Other routes seeing increased frequency include Bratislava (from 5 to 7), Naples (from 5 to 7), Bucharest (from 11 to 14), Sofia (from 6 to 7), Athens (from 5 to 7), Varna (from 2 to 3), Vilnius (from 2 to 4), and Warsaw (from 4 to 5).

These expansions come as the flight schedule from Israel gradually returns to normal, following a period where many foreign airlines reduced or suspended their operations at Ben Gurion Airport. Flights on the renewed routes and with increased frequencies are now available for booking, with prices varying based on destination, date, and booking time.
