Wizz Air Boosts Israel Flights With 46 New Weekly Services

Low-cost carrier Wizz Air announced a significant expansion of its operations in Israel, adding 46 weekly flights from Tel Aviv. This expansion includes the reintroduction of five routes and increased frequencies on 11 existing ones.

The returning routes are Catania, Sicily, with four weekly flights; London Gatwick, with five; Venice, with three; and Cluj and Iasi, each with two weekly flights. Destinations that will see increased flight frequency include Budapest, Milan, Rome, Athens, and Warsaw.

Examples of one-way ticket prices found for late September and early October range from approximately 56 to 70 euros for basic fares, excluding checked baggage. The most substantial frequency increases will be on the Budapest route, rising from 14 to 21 flights per week, and the Milan route, doubling from seven to 14 weekly flights. Other routes like Rome, Bucharest, Bratislava, Naples, Athens, and Vilnius will also see more flights.

Wizz Air stated that the flights are now available for booking on its website and app. This expansion by Wizz Air aligns with a broader trend of renewed strength in international activity at Ben Gurion Airport (TLV). Other airlines are also resuming or increasing services, including Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Israir launching a new route to New York, and SAS Scandinavian Airlines resuming its Copenhagen route.
