Wizz Air Expands Israeli Operations Ahead of Holidays

Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air announced on Tuesday an expansion of its operations in Israel, resuming five routes and increasing flight frequencies to 11 destinations. The expansion comes just before the holiday season, following several suspensions of Wizz Air flights to and from Israel over the past year, notably due to the conflict with Iran.

This week, the airline restarted service on five routes from Israel: to Catania with four weekly flights, to London Gatwick with five, to Venice with three, to Cluj-Napoca with two, and to Iași with two weekly flights.

Wizz Air has also boosted its weekly flight frequencies on several other routes. Flights to Budapest will increase from 14 to 21 weekly, Bratislava from 5 to 7, Rome from 12 to 14, Milan from 7 to 14, and Naples from 5 to 7.

Further increases include Bucharest, from 11 to 14 weekly flights, Sofia from 6 to 7, Varna from 2 to 3, Athens from 5 to 7, Vilnius from 2 to 4, and Warsaw from 4 to 5 weekly flights.
