Wizz Air Expands Flights From Israel With Dozens of New Weekly Services

Low-cost carrier Wizz Air announced a significant expansion of its operations in Israel, adding dozens of flights per week. The airline is relaunching five routes from Ben Gurion Airport: London with five weekly flights, Catania in Sicily with four, Venice with three, Cluj with two, and Iasi in Romania with two.

Wizz Air is also increasing the frequency of existing services. Flights to Budapest will rise from 14 to 21 weekly, Bratislava from 5 to 7, Rome from 12 to 14, Milan from 7 to 14, Naples from 5 to 7, Bucharest from 11 to 14, Sofia from 6 to 7, Varna from 2 to 3, Athens from 5 to 7, Vilnius from 2 to 4, and Warsaw from 4 to 5.

While Wizz Air is not returning to Israel but rather expanding its existing operations, its move coincides with other airlines resuming or increasing services. Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) announced it will restart flights to Israel on October 26, 2026, operating four weekly flights between Tel Aviv and Copenhagen. American carriers Delta and United are also returning to Israel this week.

Additionally, Israeli airline Israir is set to launch its own route to New York next week. These developments indicate a growing number of flight options available from Israel, reflecting a broader trend of aviation companies re-establishing or enhancing their presence in the country.
