Israel Warns of Retaliation Attacks by Hezbollah, Hamas Abroad

Israel's National Security Council (NSC) issued a public warning on Sunday regarding the elevated threat of terrorist attacks against Israelis abroad, particularly from Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas. The advisory aims to increase public awareness and encourage preventative measures, reflecting current trends in global terrorism.

The ongoing war, dubbed "The Thriving" (HaTkomah), and the continued conflict with Iran have expanded the risks faced by Israelis worldwide. The NSC noted increased efforts by Iran, Hezbollah, Palestinian terror groups, and global jihad organizations to carry out attacks, fueled by escalating anti-Israel rhetoric and propaganda. The upcoming third anniversary of the October 7th massacre is identified as a potential focal point for protests and intensified terror attack planning.

Iran and its proxies are described as the primary global terror instigators against Israelis and Jews, driven by a desire for revenge for recent setbacks. Iran is reportedly using its intelligence and counter-terrorism mechanisms, along with various proxies including criminal organizations, to target diplomatic missions, senior Israeli officials, security personnel, Jewish community institutions, and ordinary Israelis.

Hezbollah is also identified as a significant potential threat, motivated by severe losses sustained in the current war and the desire to avenge the deaths of its senior commanders. Hamas, according to the NSC, is actively working to establish terror infrastructures in Europe and other countries to carry out retaliatory or high-profile attacks against Jews and Israelis, in addition to its ongoing efforts in Gaza and the West Bank.

The advisory also highlighted specific regions of concern. Countries bordering Iran, such as Azerbaijan, Turkey, and the UAE, remain exposed to Iranian terror activities. Jordan, Qatar, Somaliland, and Egypt, including the Sinai Peninsula, are under a Level 4 travel warning, advising complete avoidance. Israel has also issued a travel ban, citing a real danger to life, for Iraq, Yemen, Iran, Syria, and Lebanon, prohibiting entry for all Israeli citizens, including those with dual nationality.
