IDF Strikes Hezbollah Infrastructure After Drone Attack
The Israeli military conducted airstrikes against Hezbollah terror infrastructure in Lebanon on Tuesday, in response to Hezbollah launching explosive drones towards northern Israel earlier in the day. The IDF stated that its aircraft attacked military sites belonging to the terrorist organization.
Earlier Tuesday, Hezbollah claimed responsibility for launching two explosive drones that targeted an IDF post in the northern Israeli town of Avivim. The drones reportedly caused damage to the post but no injuries were reported.
This exchange marks a continuation of hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah, which have been engaged in cross-border shelling and drone attacks since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas war in October 2023. Both sides have sustained casualties and damage, with the conflict primarily confined to the northern Israeli border and southern Lebanon.
