IDF Strikes Hezbollah Infrastructure in Lebanon After Drone Attack

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted overnight strikes on Hezbollah terror infrastructure in southern Lebanon on Wednesday. The action followed an incident where Hezbollah launched two explosive-laden drones towards IDF forces operating in the Ali Taher ridge area, situated between the Litani River and the Nabatieh plateau. IDF soldiers fired at one of the drones, successfully intercepting it, and no Israeli casualties were reported. In response to the drone launch, the IDF targeted infrastructure used by Hezbollah operatives for planning and directing terror attacks against Israeli forces and civilians. These strikes were aimed at neutralizing an immediate threat to soldiers in southern Lebanon and northern Israel. Separately, on the same night, air raid sirens were activated in northern Israel due to suspected hostile aircraft incursions. However, these were later identified as false alarms after interceptor missiles were launched towards the targets.
