Hezbollah Launches Explosive Drones at IDF Troops; Israel Strikes Terror Infrastructure
Hezbollah launched two explosive drones towards Israeli forces operating in the Al-Taher mountain ridge area of southern Lebanon overnight Wednesday. Israeli soldiers opened fire and intercepted one of the drones. No soldiers were harmed in the incident.
In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted airstrikes targeting Hezbollah terror infrastructure in the Nabatieh region of southern Lebanon. According to the IDF spokesperson, these facilities were used by Hezbollah operatives to plan and direct terror attacks aimed at harming IDF forces and Israeli civilians.
The IDF stated that the strikes were carried out to neutralize an immediate threat, following Hezbollah's attempt to attack soldiers in the area. The military emphasized its commitment to preventing terror activities, vowing, "IDF forces will continue to operate in the ridge area and will not allow terrorists in the area to advance and carry out terror attacks against IDF forces."
The IDF further stressed that operations against the organization will persist, adding, "The IDF is currently operating and will continue to operate forcefully against the repeated attempts by the Hezbollah terror organization to harm our forces."
