Hezbollah Drone Attack Foiled; IDF Strikes Targets in Southern Lebanon
Hezbollah launched two explosive drones towards Israeli forces on the Al-Tahir ridge overnight, according to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Soldiers fired at one of the drones, successfully intercepting it, while the other was also neutralized. No Israeli soldiers were injured in the incident.
In response to the drone attack, the IDF conducted airstrikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon. The IDF stated that these targeted facilities were used by Hezbollah operatives to plan and direct terror attacks against Israeli forces and civilians. The strikes were carried out to neutralize an immediate threat.
The IDF declared its commitment to continuing operations in the Al-Tahir ridge area, vowing to prevent terrorists from carrying out attacks against Israeli forces. The military also affirmed its intention to act forcefully against repeated Hezbollah attempts to harm Israeli troops.
Amidst the ongoing tensions along the northern border, a military exercise is scheduled to take place this morning in the Golan Heights. Residents in the area can expect to observe significant security force movement, as well as hear sounds of gunfire and explosions. The IDF clarified that this exercise was planned in advance as part of the 2026 training program.
