Noa Kirel hospitalized in Tel Aviv after Japan honeymoon cut short
Noa Kirel said her long-planned honeymoon in Japan with her new husband turned into an emergency medical episode that ended at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. In Instagram stories posted Sunday night, the pop star said the trip began just a week after she had performed in two major shows, and only two days after landing in Japan, the couple had to abandon the vacation and fly back to Israel.
Kirel explained that the trouble started when she woke up at 4 a.m. because of severe jet lag and still insisted on working out. She posted a video after an intense spinning session in Tokyo and joked, “I found spinning in Japanese at 7 in the morning, and it was definitely an experience. This is how the workout ended. My face is crazy, and I think that’s what triggered my appendix.”
The pain then became severe enough that she was taken straight to Ichilov, where doctors diagnosed acute appendicitis that required immediate hospitalization. In a message from her hospital bed, connected to IVs but trying to stay upbeat, she said, “I already gave my heart, and my appendix, on stage in two amazing shows,” adding that “life is crazy, there is someone above who decides, and health is the most important thing.”
Although the honeymoon was cut short, Kirel said she is choosing to focus on the support around her. “We waited so long for the honeymoon,” she wrote, but said she had “won a different kind of honeymoon,” with “an amazing husband who did not leave my side,” along with friends, family, and fans who have been showing concern. She thanked followers for their love and urged them to take care of themselves.
