Noa Kirel Cuts Honeymoon Short After Appendicitis Diagnosis
Israeli singer Noa Kirel and her husband, footballer Daniel Peretz, returned to Israel on Saturday night after their honeymoon in Japan was unexpectedly cut short by a medical issue. The trip came after Kirel had performed a large concert at the Maxi Rishon LeZion amphitheater.
Kirel wrote on Instagram on Sunday that medical tests found she was suffering from appendicitis, a problem in the appendix, after prolonged stomach pain during the vacation. In her photos, she described a honeymoon that was shorter than planned and split between restaurants and outings on one hand, and long hours in hospitals in Japan and then in Israel on the other.
"We planned a honeymoon, but my appendix did not really go along," Kirel wrote. She added, "I am fine," and thanked people for their concern. She also praised Peretz for staying by her side, writing, "I have a perfect husband who took care of me, only health, amen."
