Noa Kirel reveals why her urgent hospital admission cut short her honeymoon
Israeli singer Noa Kirel said the sudden hospitalisation that interrupted her honeymoon in Japan was caused by appendicitis. Writing on Sunday morning after fans worried about her condition, she said, “We planned a honeymoon but my appendix was not really cooperating,” and added, “I’m fine, thank you all for the concern. I have a perfect husband who took care of me.”
Kirel and her husband, footballer Daniel Peretz, had flown to Tokyo for a long-awaited romantic break after their November wedding, which came after a demanding stretch of work for both of them. The trip was meant to be their first major respite since marrying, but it followed months of packed schedules and intensive professional commitments.
The couple had left for Japan after Kirel completed two major back-to-back performances at the Ampi Max Live Park in Rishon Lezion, along with many other work obligations and photo shoots in Israel. Peretz, meanwhile, had come from a heavy overseas schedule that included regular training and matches, and he had also just signed a four-year contract with English club Southampton.
Soon after landing in Tokyo, Kirel suddenly felt unwell. The two decided not to take any risks and immediately returned to Israel. After arriving back, she sought medical treatment and was admitted to a hospital in central Israel, where doctors kept her under observation.
