Sunday, August 2, will see the peak of the summer heatwave, with a slight temperature increase and continued scorching conditions in most mountainous and inland areas, alongside warm coastal weather. Winds are expected to strengthen in the mountains during the afternoon. By Monday, August 3, temperatures will slightly decrease, mainly in the mountains and inland, but scorching conditions will continue in these areas, and the coastal plain will remain warm. Heat stress will somewhat ease but remain heavy to extreme throughout the country, with gusty winds in the afternoon, especially in the mountains and inland. Specific temperature forecasts include Tel Aviv-Jaffa ranging from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius, Haifa 27 to 31, Jerusalem 25 to 34, Ashdod 25 to 32, Beersheba 23 to 37, Ashkelon 26 to 31, Mitzpe Ramon 24 to 33, and Afula 26 to 38 degrees Celsius.
