Extreme Heatwave to Hit Israel This Weekend, Peaking Saturday and Sunday

Israel is expected to experience a severe heatwave starting Friday and lasting through at least Monday, with the highest temperatures occurring on Saturday and Sunday. The heatwave will bring extreme heat stress over several consecutive days. The Jordan Valley and Arava regions will see the highest temperatures in the country, reaching between 44 and 46 degrees Celsius. In the Shephelah and Negev areas, temperatures are forecasted to climb up to 38 degrees Celsius. Mountain regions will experience temperatures ranging from 33 to 35 degrees Celsius. The coastal plain will have the lowest temperatures, up to 33 degrees Celsius, but combined with approximately 70% humidity, the heat will feel like around 40 degrees Celsius. Residents are advised to reconsider outdoor plans for the weekend due to the intense heat conditions.
