IDF Eliminates Two Hamas Operatives Involved in October 7 Attacks and Hostage Holding

The Israeli military has eliminated two Hamas operatives in recent days, both of whom were involved in the October 7th attacks and subsequently engaged in planning further assaults. On Wednesday, the IDF targeted and killed Hassan Mahmoud Siam in Gaza City. Siam held a command position within Hamas's military wing and was part of the group that infiltrated Israel on October 7, 2023, participating in the massacre and hostage-taking. He was identified as one of the militants who held several hostages, including Amit Sosna, Kit, and Aviva Segal, and Dafna Elyakim. The previous day, Tuesday, the IDF also eliminated Adham Salim Ziar in Gaza City. Both Siam and Ziar were reportedly planning attacks against Israeli forces and working to rebuild Hamas's military capabilities, thereby violating the ceasefire agreement. Their activities included preparing for armed assaults on Israeli soldiers and planting explosive devices in the "yellow zone," which refers to areas near the Gaza border. The IDF stated that both were eliminated to neutralize the threat they posed.
