IDF Eliminates Hamas Commander Holding Four Hostages
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced on Wednesday that it had targeted and eliminated Hassan Ziam, a Hamas military wing commander, in Gaza City. Ziam was involved in the October 7th massacre and subsequently held four Israeli hostages captive in the Gaza Strip: Amit Soussana, Keith Siegel, Aviva Siegel, and Dafna Elyakim. The IDF stated that Ziam was responsible for holding these hostages.
In a separate operation on Tuesday, also in Gaza City, the IDF eliminated another Hamas military operative named Adham Ziara. According to the IDF, both militants were involved in firing at Israeli forces and planting explosives near the "yellow line," a term often used to refer to the border area with Gaza.
