Toddler Critically Injured After Fall From Height in Kiryat Yam
A toddler, approximately two years old, is in critical condition after falling from a significant height in Kiryat Yam on Tuesday. Paramedics and EMTs from Magen David Adom (MDA) provided immediate medical treatment at the scene, including resuscitation efforts, before transporting the child to Rambam Hospital. The child was unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, upon their arrival.
"This is a difficult incident," said Magen David Adom paramedic Moshe Amsalem. "A two-year-old child lay unconscious, without a pulse or breathing, after falling from a great height. We immediately began medical treatment, including chest compressions, ventilation, and administering medication. We evacuated him in an MDA intensive care ambulance to the hospital, his condition is critical, and we continue to fight for his life."
The exact circumstances of the fall are under investigation.
