Toddler Critically Injured After Falling Four Stories in Kiryat Yam
A toddler, approximately two years old, fell from the fourth floor of a residential building in Kiryat Yam on Thursday morning, sustaining life-threatening injuries. Emergency medical services (Magen David Adom) arrived at the scene to find the child unconscious, without a pulse or breathing. Paramedics administered initial medical treatment and began resuscitation efforts while transporting the child to Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
Magen David Adom paramedic Moshe Amsalem described the incident as "difficult," stating that the child was found unconscious and unresponsive after the fall from a significant height. He detailed the immediate medical interventions, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and medication administration, before the critical transfer to the hospital via a mobile intensive care unit. The child's condition remains critical, with medical teams continuing efforts to save his life.
