Toddler Dies After Falling Four Stories in Kiryat Yam
A two-year-old toddler died on Thursday after falling approximately four stories in the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Yam. Emergency medical services received the report at 10:57 AM and arrived to find the child unconscious, without a pulse or breathing. Paramedics immediately began resuscitation efforts, including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and administering medication.
The child was evacuated by a Magen David Adom intensive care ambulance to Rambam Medical Center in critical condition. Despite the efforts of medical teams, the child's death was pronounced at the hospital.
Moshe Amsalem, a Magen David Adom paramedic who was among the first responders, described the scene as "a difficult event." He stated, "A child about two years old lay unconscious, without a pulse or breathing after falling from a great height. We immediately began providing medical treatment including compressions, ventilation, and administering medication, and evacuated him in a Magen David Adom intensive care unit to the hospital while his condition was critical, and we continued to fight for his life."
