Toddler Dies After Falling Four Stories in Kiryat Yam
A two-year-old toddler died on Thursday after falling from a height of approximately four stories in the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Yam. Emergency medical services received the report at 10:57 AM and arrived to find the child unconscious, without a pulse or breathing.
Paramedics performed resuscitation efforts and transported the toddler in critical condition to Rambam Medical Center. Despite the efforts of medical teams, the child's death was pronounced at the hospital.
Magen David Adom (MDA) paramedic Moshe Amsalem described the scene as "a difficult event," stating that "a child about two years old lay unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing after falling from a great height. We immediately began providing medical treatment including chest compressions, artificial respiration, and administering medication, and evacuated him in an MDA intensive care unit to the hospital in critical condition, while we continued to fight for his life."
