Maccabi Tel Aviv captain Dor Peretz has flown to Zagreb to examine a contract offer from Dinamo Zagreb, as negotiations with his current club continue to stall. Peretz, who led Maccabi as captain and finished as the Israeli Premier League’s top scorer with 19 goals, is weighing whether to stay in Tel Aviv or move abroad.
According to Sport 5, the Croatian champions are offering about €750,000 per season on a two-year deal, with an option for a third year. The European challenge is also part of the appeal, since Dinamo are set to play in Champions League qualifying.
Peretz traveled with his wife to get a first-hand look at Zagreb and assess the living conditions there. He has previous overseas experience, having had a short spell with Venezia in Italy, but Dinamo is being presented as a very different opportunity because of the club’s dominance in its domestic league.
If Peretz signs, he is expected to arrive as a regular starter. The report was published on June 18, 2026, at 11:52.
