Israeli midfielder Dor Peretz has received another major offer as he weighs his future, this time from Bulgarian club CSKA 1948 Sofia. The proposal is for a three-year contract worth a net 625,000 euros per season before bonuses, making it a strong competitor to the offer he already has from Dinamo Zagreb. Peretz is still considering other options as well, with Maccabi Tel Aviv also in the picture, along with additional European clubs.
CSKA 1948, founded about a decade ago after the original CSKA Sofia went bankrupt, finished last season in second place in Bulgaria, ahead of Ludogorets and CSKA Sofia. The club will play in Conference League qualifying this summer. Its owner is Tsvetomir Naydenov, a businessman whose betting company sponsors the entire Bulgarian league.
Peretz, 31, is coming off the best season of his career. He finished as the Israeli Premier League scoring champion with 19 goals, including eight in the championship playoff. In addition to Dinamo Zagreb and CSKA 1948 Sofia, he has also received offers from Ferencvaros, Omonia Nicosia and Pafos, while Beitar Jerusalem is also interested in signing him.
