Croatian media reported on Wednesday that Dor Peretz, the Israeli midfielder and current top scorer in the Israeli Premier League, is in Croatia and could soon sign with reigning champion Dinamo Zagreb. The article in 24Sata said the 29-year-old, who scored 19 league goals this season, is being viewed as a possible replacement for one of the club’s key players.
According to the report, Dinamo could use Peretz in the role now held by Josip Mišić, who started 31 matches this year and served as the team captain. The paper described Peretz as “a very important player for Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Israel national team” and “one of the best players in Israel.”
If the deal is completed, Peretz would not receive the captain’s armband, and Mišić may not stay at the club. The report said Peretz could sign a two-year contract with an option for a third season.
His expected salary would be 750,000 euros per season. The move is also aided by the fact that he would arrive as a free agent. The report added that another Dinamo midfielder, Luka Stojković, is valued at 7 million euros and has been linked with Lazio.
