Croatian media reported that Israeli midfielder Dor Peretz is in Croatia and could sign with champions Dinamo Zagreb. Sport 5 said the veteran midfielder, who scored 19 league goals this season and is the top scorer in the Israeli Premier League, is being widely discussed in Croatia ahead of a possible transfer.
The Croatian outlet 24Sata said Peretz would replace Josip Mišić, describing him as “one of the most significant players” in the team. It also called Peretz an important player for Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Israel national team, and said he is considered one of the best players in Israel.
Mišić started 31 matches this year and was Dinamo’s captain, though there is uncertainty over whether he will stay. If Peretz does join, he will not receive the captaincy. The report added that he could sign a two-year contract with an option for one more season.
Peretz is said to be in line for a salary of 750,000 euros per season, helped by the fact that he would arrive as a free agent. The same report noted that Dinamo midfielder Luka Stojković is valued at 7 million euros and has been linked with Lazio.
