Croatian reports say Dinamo Zagreb is one of the leading candidates to sign Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Dor Peretz. The club has offered him a two-year deal worth 750,000 euros per season.
At the same time, Dinamo are also hoping to bring back club icon Luka Modric for what could be a farewell season at his boyhood team. The 40-year-old grew up at Dinamo, played there until 2008, and was sold to Tottenham for 16.5 million pounds.
Modric later spent 13 years at Real Madrid and moved to Milan, where he scored two goals this season and finished fifth. With his contract ending, people in Zagreb have reportedly approached those around him, and he may retire from football at 40.
Dinamo are also considering offering goalkeeper Dominik Livakovic what is described as a kind of “lifetime contract” in an effort to persuade him to join before next season.
