IDF Discovers and Destroys Dozens of Hezbollah Weapons in Southern Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have uncovered and are destroying dozens of weapons caches belonging to the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the security zone of southern Lebanon. In recent days, soldiers from the 401st, 4th, and 300th brigades located a wide array of arms including Kalashnikov rifles, RPG anti-tank rockets, explosives, grenades, magazines, and other combat equipment. These findings reveal the extensive stockpile Hezbollah has accumulated over the years in the area.

Alongside the weapons search, the IDF's reconnaissance unit 'Shahaf' (Unit 869) identified a suspect near Ras Baida who approached Israeli forces in a manner deemed a direct threat. After warning shots failed to deter him, troops from Brigade 55 fired to neutralize the threat, acting in accordance with IDF rules of engagement.

The operational efforts by Division 91 continue as forces systematically scan additional areas to locate and eliminate concealed weapons caches. The IDF emphasized that this campaign to destroy terrorist infrastructure and arms in southern Lebanon is a crucial component of securing Israel's northern border.
