IDF Destroys Over 90 Hezbollah Terror Sites and Seizes 150 Weapons in South Lebanon Village
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recently completed full operational control over the village of Khaddata in southern Lebanon, a key Hezbollah terror hub. Over the past month, the IDF's 401st Brigade under the 91st Division uncovered extensive terror infrastructure, including hundreds of weapons aimed at Israeli forces and civilians. During the operation, the IDF destroyed more than 90 terror sites, eliminated over 20 Hezbollah militants, and seized upwards of 150 weapons such as RPG rockets, anti-tank missiles, heavy machine guns, and Kalashnikov rifles.
Khaddata served as a strategic center for Hezbollah, housing command posts, weapons depots, firing positions, and other facilities designed to facilitate attacks against Israeli targets. This operation is part of a broader IDF campaign in southern Lebanon, which also involved the Givati Brigade conducting extensive actions in villages like Al-Khiyam, Bint Jbeil, and the Beaufort ridge, resulting in the destruction of hundreds of additional terror infrastructures.
The IDF stated it will continue its efforts in the security zone of southern Lebanon to neutralize threats against its forces and Israeli civilians. Recent activities by the 36th Division included further destruction of Hezbollah command centers and the elimination of militants attempting to attack Israeli troops. The IDF emphasized its determination to prevent Hezbollah from rebuilding its capabilities or reestablishing a threat to northern Israel. The ongoing operations aim to expand the security zone and ensure long-term safety for residents in northern Israel.
