IDF Destroys Dozens of Meters of Hezbollah Terror Tunnels in South Lebanon

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have destroyed an underground tunnel network spanning dozens of meters in the Sarbin area of southern Lebanon. The operation was carried out by forces from Division 91, including Brigade 300 and the Yahalom engineering unit, targeting Hezbollah's terror infrastructure used to plan and execute attacks against Israeli troops.

In recent days, Kfir Brigade forces also uncovered a weapons cache in southern Lebanon containing launchers, rockets, Kalashnikov rifles, anti-tank missiles, and other combat equipment belonging to Hezbollah. These tunnels and weapons depots were intended for attacks on IDF forces and communities in the Galilee region.

The IDF emphasized that the ongoing intensive operational activity in the security zone aims to systematically locate and destroy Hezbollah's terror infrastructure built over many years. The forces continue thorough ground searches, weapons seizures, and demolition of tunnels and arsenals to eliminate threats to Israeli civilians.

This operation reflects the IDF's commitment to maintaining security along the Israel-Lebanon border and preventing Hezbollah from using underground routes and hidden stockpiles to launch attacks. The military stated that efforts will persist to neutralize all threats in the area.
