IDF Uncovers Extensive Hezbollah Terror Network Hidden in South Lebanon Villages

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) revealed on Thursday that during recent operations in southern Lebanon, they uncovered thousands of Hezbollah terror infrastructures embedded within civilian villages. These included command centers, launch and observation posts, underground facilities, and various weapons caches. The IDF stated that Hezbollah has systematically integrated its military infrastructure into populated areas over the years, effectively turning villages in southern Lebanon into significant operational zones for the group.

The IDF emphasized that Hezbollah's use of civilian areas allows the organization to conceal its activities and operate its facilities from within these communities, thereby endangering local residents. The military accused Hezbollah of exploiting the local population to shield its assets and increase risks to civilians. The uncovered sites were spread across multiple locations in southern Lebanon and served diverse operational purposes.

Israeli forces continue their efforts in the region to locate additional Hezbollah infrastructures, aiming to degrade the group's capabilities and eliminate threats to Israel. The IDF's Northern Command remains actively engaged in these operations as part of its broader security strategy along the northern border.
