IDF forces from the 551st Brigade Combat Team, under the 91st Division, have been operating in the village of Majdal Zun, about 10 kilometers inside Lebanon. During the operation, the army said it uncovered a fortified village filled with terror infrastructure, including a significant underground route.
According to the IDF, more than 20 Hezbollah fighters were killed in the fighting, including over 10 members of the Radwan Force. Troops also destroyed more than 50 terror sites, among them observation posts and weapons depots.
Military engineers from the Yahalom unit additionally located a major underground tunnel more than 200 meters long and over 25 meters deep. It contained four launch shafts and 12 rooms.
Those rooms were used for staying inside the tunnel and for storing explosives, anti-tank missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles. The IDF said the tunnel and the other targets formed part of Hezbollah’s embedded military infrastructure in the area.
