Against the backdrop of tensions with Iran that led to the imposition of a ceasefire in Lebanon, the IDF on Sunday released footage from an operation by the 551st Brigade Combat Team under the 91st Division in the village of Majdal Zun, about 10 kilometers inside Lebanon.
The video shows a fortified village packed with terror infrastructure, including a significant underground route that was discovered during the operation. The IDF said the fighting killed more than 20 Hezbollah militants, including more than 10 from the elite Radwan Force.
Israeli forces also destroyed more than 50 terror sites, among them observation positions and weapons depots. At the same time, Yahalom engineers uncovered a major underground passage more than 200 meters long and deeper than 25 meters.
Inside the tunnel, troops found four launch shafts and 12 rooms, including living quarters and spaces Hezbollah used to store explosives, anti-tank missiles and unmanned aircraft.
