The IDF said it uncovered a major Hezbollah underground route in the village of Majdal Zun in southern Lebanon, about 10 kilometers inside Lebanese territory. The military released footage from the stone-carved tunnel and said the area was heavily fortified with terror infrastructure.
According to the IDF, forces from the 551st Brigade Combat Team under the 91st Division are operating in the village. During the activity, more than 20 Hezbollah operatives were killed, including over 10 members of the Radwan Force, and more than 50 terror sites were destroyed, among them observation posts and weapons depots.
The military also said Yahalom engineering troops found a significant underground route more than 200 meters long and more than 25 meters deep. It contained four launch shafts, 12 rooms, including living quarters, and storage spaces used for explosive devices, anti-tank missiles, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
In a separate statement, the IDF said the tunnel complex included hundreds of weapons and four launch shafts aimed at Israel. The disclosure comes as Israeli forces continue operations in southern Lebanon against Hezbollah positions.
